Dedicated to the Practical Reuse of Surplus Properties

About Us

Postal Projects is a 2021 start-up company incorporated in the Province of Alberta. Its directors are Dean Mantai and Ken Waddell, both of Calgary AB. Dean and Ken have a favorable real estate investment history, with Ken having extensive experience in the successful repurposing and use of older structures in Calgary and Edmonton.

Postal Projects is dedicated to the practical reuse of surplus properties. Practical reuse means the property is capable of providing a return on investment.

Project Information

Our current project is a former Postal Distribution Centre located at 2801 – 24A Street SW. This single-storey building is an excellent example of Post-industrial Government construction from the mid-’60s. The site area consists of 0.28 acres with a building footprint of 6,871 square feet. There are 12 dedicated parking spaces on site.

Postal Projects successfully completed the re-zoning process from MC-1, high rise residential, to MU-1f3.3h19 which is a modified mixed-use zoning. The building has now been leased by Buffalo 9 Brewery, a local Calgary success story with an established distribution network that will be opening a restaurant and Taphouse on-site in late 2023 that is sure to serve the community well.
